Founded in Annandale, VA in 1999 as a commercial video production company, Aim Communications is striving to become the leading provider of original Asian American entertainment in the United States. In addition to the young Asian generation, we believe that our programming also is reaching the same American youth fascinated by Pokemon, martial arts and Japanese Animation. Feedback from our website indicates that Asian music appeals to a wide variety of people, and we have partnered with AngelCD.com to track the growing number of non-Asians who purchase Asian music online. We are also working with Kaph Entertainment Group to produce an Asian webcasting program for the Ejave Network in an effort to further promote this music to mainstream America.
National Broadcasting
International Channel (I-Channel) was a 24 hour cable television network with national coverage whose main focus was broadcasting entertainment programs for a wide variety of cultures, reaching 14.2 million homes. I-Channel’s programming includes foreign films, native news broadcasts, and entertainment programs. I-Channel began airing Aim Communications’ independently produced Music Video Heaven (MVH) on January 23, 1999.
Music Video Heaven
Music Video Heaven was a music video program showcasing some of the most popular songs in Korea and various other hits from around Asia. There was presently no other independently produced broadcast of Asian music videos in the United States. The show was scripted in English for cross-market appeal and includes segments such as a weekly Top 10 Countdown. The show was supported by it’s website www.mvheaven.com, through which viewers could vote for the Top10, request videos for future shows, or play music videos from past episodes. Unfortunately, I-Channel closed its door on 2005, so the famous MVH was shut off.
Tough Times and Entering Digital Era
Based on success of MVH, Aim Communications successfully produced TV programs, commercials, marketing videos, corporate videos, product promotion videos, interviews, mini documentaries, and many more, but economy crisis made us downsize our business and we experienced tough times. Time goes by anyways, as we are approaching digital era, we added websites, and mobile apps division in our company to comply with current marketing trends. As we expand our business, we need to change Aim Communications as a video production to a total digital media solutions provider. Our office has been re-located to metro Atlanta, during this transition.
